I have a passion for exploring the world through visual imagery which means my approach is diverse and not necessarily following one particular style.
Work ranges from digital photography to wet plate collodion, cyanotype, macro, still life, illustrative... it's the joy of photography which is more than the sum of itself.
Commercial work includes illustrative photography for design groups in London and Belfast, as well as architectural and construction imagery for agencies and businesses in the UK.
Now based in Cheshire and continuing professional photographic work and research, I am currently also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester.
I undertook a (B.A Hons) photography degree at what was The Poly of Central London (now Westminster University), have since gained 2 masters degrees in Fine Art Photography, and Social Sciences/Cultural Studies. But mainly I just enjoy exploring processes and ideas using photography as imagery and not necessarily as an end in itself. I also really enjoy writing about photography, books, processes and other people's work.
Writing and book or exhibition reviews appear in the Blog page - mainly photographic book and exhibition reviews.
